Wild Love

Chart-topping, multi-Platinum and Ivor Novello-winning Passenger returns with Wild Love, inspired by Mike Rosenberg unexpectedly becoming a husband and father. It captures the rush of a relationship unfolding: excitement, upheaval, trepidation and joy, with the title track at the heart of that leap into love.

While much of Wild Love traces the couple’s story, It Was Gonna Be You looks back to an earlier chapter, when relationships can quickly unravel. It comes dressed in a classic Passenger sound: bright melody, piano flourishes and Americana-tinged guitar twangs.

The album opens with the infectious, change-embracing Boomerang, while Wild Love brings a delicate piano-led country feel. Elsewhere, Caution To The Wind nods to Elton John and Bruce Hornsby and the Range, Lightning Strikes adds ’80s synth touches, and a cover of Taylor Swift’s Willow soundtracks the couple’s blossoming love.
