PISS are a noisy, genre-bending four-piece from Vancouver, B.C., combining punk, poetry, sound collage, performance art and visual art to create multidisciplinary work that blurs the line between personal and political.
Powered by thoughtful musicianship, energetic live performances and a crystal-clear artistic mission, PISS write punk that aims to transcend the limitations of a well-established genre. Their work draws on literary giants, philosophers, filmmakers, painters, psychoanalysts, activists, children and conversations with audience members.
you made me / skin on linen is the band’s debut full-length, depicting a childhood shaped by structural, systemic and intimate violence. Art-making motifs serve as metaphors for how these experiences leave impressions that gradually create or deform the self. For fans of Chat Pile, Ethel Cain, Patti Smith, Fugazi, Bikini Kill, Show Me The Body and Crass.
