Collection: Aim

Andy Turner, known as Aim, grew up in Barrow-in-Furness, England, immersing himself in 70s pop culture, music, and underground raves. In 1990, he opened Speed Limit Records, specialising in vinyl during hip-hop's golden age. Inspired by artists like Nas and A Tribe Called Quest, he began producing beats, leading to a deal with Grand Central Records. Over eight years, Aim released acclaimed albums such as Cold Water Music and Hinterland, gaining a cult following. In 2004, he co-founded ATIC Records and released Flight 602, solidifying his underground status. His best-of compilation, Drum Machines & VHS Dreams (2014), received rave reviews, as did The Habit of a Lifetime (2015), a collaboration with NYC rap legends QNC.
