Ekko Astral are a Washington, D.C. group formed in 2021, working at the ragged, melodic edge of noise rock, post-hardcore and riot grrrl. Pink Balloons captures that mix of abrasion and hook, while The Beltway is Burning points to a band rooted in place as much as pressure.
