Felt

Felt is an English indie pop band from Water Orton, Warwickshire. Formed by Lawrence in 1979, they gained critical acclaim and a cult following with their unique sound. Their first single 'Index' was released on Lawrence's own label, followed by a string of releases through Cherry Red Records featuring the talented guitarist Maurice Deebank. Despite achieving a #1 indie single with 'Primitive Painters', Felt never achieved mainstream success but remained influential in the indie music scene. After Deebank's departure in 1986, they signed to Creation Records and released the acclaimed album 'Forever Breathes The Lonely Word'. Over the next decade, Felt released ten albums, fulfilling Lawrence's prophecy made in 1980.
