Isao Suzuki

Isao Suzuki was a Japanese jazz bassist, cellist, composer, arranger and bandleader. Born in Tokyo on January 2, 1933, he gained recognition as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in the early 1970s. Revered as the 'Jazz Godfather' in Japan, his musical contributions left an indelible mark on the industry. Sadly, Isao Suzuki passed away on March 8, 2022 in Kawasaki.
