King Crimson

King Crimson began in England in 1968 and quickly set a high bar for progressive rock with In the Court of the Crimson King. Robert Fripp remained the constant through restless line-up changes, with the band moving from early grandeur to sharper, more experimental work on records including Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Red and Discipline.
