Lee Konitz

Lee Konitz was a Chicago-born American jazz saxophonist and composer whose cool, probing improvising made him a distinctive voice in post-war jazz. He worked with the Lennie Tristano Sextet and Gerry Mulligan Quartet, and recordings including Motion and Lee Konitz Meets Jimmy Giuffre show his lucid, restless approach at its best.
