Collection: Little Walter

Little Walter transformed blues harmonica by amplifying it, driving his equipment into tones that cut through Chicago’s electric bands. Born in Louisiana, he arrived in Chicago in 1945, later played with Muddy Waters, and broke through with 1952’s Juke, the only harmonica instrumental to top the Billboard R&B chart.
