Sentenced

A heavy metal band from Muhos/Oulu, Finland, Sentenced was active between 1989-2005. They started as a death metal band but evolved their sound to combine roughness, melody, and rocking heavy metal. Their focus was on strong songs rather than technical complexity. This musical foundation defined their career.

After a special funeral tour, the band held their final gig in Oulu on October 1st, 2005. The lineup consisted of Miika Tenkula (lead guitar), Sami Lopakka (guitar), Vesa Ranta (drums), Ville Laihiala (vocals), and Sami Kukkohovi (bass). Former members included Lari Kylmänen and Taneli Jarva.
