Wire Mag

The Wire is an independent print and online music magazine, founded in 1982. It covers a wide range of alternative, underground, and non-mainstream musics. The label celebrates and interrogates the most visionary and inspiring musicians on the planet, past and present, in various genres including avant rock, electronica, hiphop, new jazz, modern composition, traditional musics and beyond. Passionate, intelligent and provocative; The Wire wages war on the mundane and mediocre. Based in London but serving an international readership.

The Wire magazine issues compilation CD & download 'The Wire Tapper' on card sleeve three times a year given away free with the monthly edition of the magazine. Additionally they offer 'Below The Radar', a download released four times a year.
