Four in One

Monkin’ Around is, its heart, an international trio of drums, bass and sax, playing a repertoire of Thelonious Monk compositions. Featuring some special guests, there are 4 different lineups in 1 band. 4 in 1, in fact. These tracks were recorded over two separate sessions - everyone in the same room, no headphones, just like we play on a gig. This is very “old school” and doesn’t allow for clinical separation or repairs but, on a good day, it’s so much more intuitive and enjoyable like this.
