The busy schedules of the Axolotes Mexicanos band members (from Carolina Durante, Confeti De Odio, Temerario Mario, Stephen Please, No Fucks, etc) have kept us waiting for the new album. But we can now say that it was worth it. Because :3 (colon three) takes on everything - styles, sounds, stories. It is a leap forward; an absolute musical whirlwind, a journey that is overflowing with energy. "Cara De Idiota" is pure pop spirit. Vergüenza" is full of J-Pop, RnB, and sounds totallly contemporary. "Verano En Espiral" is a speedy punk-noise whip crack, with a furiously hummable chorus. Thirteen songs that display so many of pop and rock music's recent paths, intelligently and skillfully handled by a group full of energy, ease, self-confidence, and irreverence.
