After celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album Magic Seed with some live shows, top Swedish exports Easy enjoyed writing songs again and with their friend, producer Charlie Storm they started recording again (In Storm ́s Cloud Chamber studio, named so in tribute of the Easy track): It ́s OK To Cry, a short jubilant pop song, For Beauty: "The iconic punk rocker sniffin ́glue / A homeless painter perfecting his blue / The heat is going out of me / A Heartbeat from Eternity" is a. thing of...beauty. Two of the songs are throw backs to the early nineties: the Madchester groove of The Reincarnated and the heavy guitars and drums of Song to Remember. Satisfied with what they had created Easy pressed some CDs of the songs and gave it away to their friends. But the band were on a creative roll and decided to write some music for the poems in singer Johan Holmlund ́s poetry collection: Swimming with the Beast. Pop Songs! This track might be the loveliest tune Easy has ever recorded, I Can Tell You Why is as catchy and joyful as Tamla Motwn, Little Boy is like Phil Spector in guitar-indie land and A Picture (I've got Mine) is like a happy marriage between the Chills and Velvet Underground. Easy: the music remains as fresh as ever.
