Dave Angel returns to R&S Records with A Time And Place, his first full-length for the label and a welcome reunion thirty-five years after first joining the R&S family. It picks up a partnership that began in 1991, when Renaat Vandepapeliere discovered ‘Rolling Thunder’ and released the landmark 1st Voyage EP.

Across fifteen tracks, Angel stretches beyond techno, folding in jazz, soul, improvisation and richly textured electronics with real warmth and depth. Shaped by reflections on family, heritage, nature and community, it’s a personal, wide-open set that feels just as grounded in musicianship as it does in club-rooted precision.

Guests include trumpeter Steve Waterman on Réflexion and The Yellow Butterfly, Robert Owens on Harmony Serenade, plus Merv Carswell and Aurii Sky. Long-time listeners will hear the same forward-looking spirit that ran through Stairway To Heaven, 3rd Voyage and In Order To Dance.
