A Wah Dat - Junior Dread / Dub Dat

A Wah Dat" by Junior Dread and "Dub Dat" by The Upsetter is a classic 1976 roots reggae and dub 7-inch single produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry at the Black Ark studio. "A Wah Dat" by Junior Dread features a rare vocal and DJ performance. Junior Dread only recorded two tracks at the Black Ark. The lyrics describe financial stress and bills piling up during Christmas time. "Dub Dat" by The Upsetters strips the rhythm down. It showcases Lee Perry's trademark echo, heavy bass, and swirling analogue studio effects.
