When the world-renowned Canadian pianist Oscar Peterson came to Villingen in 1961, there was a mood of intense excitement all around. During his visit, Peterson recorded the album Night Train, which featured the iconic track "Hymn to Freedom".

This album is now considered a classic in the jazz genre, showcasing Peterson's incredible talent and virtuosity on the piano.
