Aiiro No Kisetsu

The treasured Japanese soft rock album produced by Haruomi Hosono is finally being reissued on analogue vinyl. The only album ‘Aiiro no Season’ (original release date: July 1975) by the group Kaze Chorus Dan from the Yamaha Popular Song Contest has been reissued on analogue vinyl. Haruomi Hosono produced, wrote the lyrics, composed the music, arranged the songs and participated fully as a player. The lyrics to the title track ‘Ai-iro no Season’ were written by his close friend Takashi Matsumoto. A treasured soft rock album with beautiful chorus work by mixed male and female voices, tight performance by the Tin Pan Alley family, and a Western taste and groove like A&M at its best.
