Anish Kumar wraps up his four-part AK Cuts run with Vol. 4, the final chapter in a series that began in October 2025 with the NYC-minded Vol. 1, then moved through the automotive and Indian-sampling feel of Vol. 2 in January and the Italo glow of Vol. 3 in May.
Here, Anish Kumar leans into Americana, pulling together jazz, Spaghetti Western soundtracks, hip-hop and house. Across the full anthology, you can hear the influence of producer-led statements like Etienne de Crécy’s Super Discount and Madlib’s Beat Konducta Series.
The idea was breadth without losing flow. Every track rides a steady 4-on-the-floor pulse, while the production stays gritty and lo-fi, favouring dusty sampled textures over polished club sheen. The whole project is now marked with the eight-track vinyl compilation, AK Cuts: Greatest Hits.
