Omertà return with Âmes Bleues, a third album that deepens the group's distinctive approach, balancing lyrical songwriting with expansive harmonic exploration. Drawing from jazz, pastoral sounds and the looseness of 1970s free rock, the record unfolds through hypnotic motifs, psychedelic textures and subtle shifts in tension.
There’s a strong sense of place and atmosphere throughout, with music that feels shaped as much by sensation as structure. Repetition and melody become vehicles for something more elusive, creating songs that gradually open into wider emotional and sonic spaces. Inspired in part by the writing of Ingeborg Bachmann, Âmes Bleues resists easy definition, favouring openness, movement and a quietly transportive sense of wonder
