As The World Burns...

Children of Zeus return with their third studio album, As The World Burns…. Five years after the acclaimed Balance, Manchester duo Tyler Daley and Konny Kon deliver a 16-track set rooted in hip hop soul, street soul, alternative R&B and boom bap.

It picks up naturally from where they left off, drawing on pirate radio influences and forward-looking sounds without losing that unmistakable Children of Zeus feel. Guest spots are few but well placed, with Knucks on Before We Drown, Young Old Soul on Dopamine, [ K S R ] on Do You Want To Get High, and Anieszka on Water and Vibes.

Mostly self-produced, the album also features contributions from Beat Butcha, Teo and K15. Across 50 minutes, it balances swagger and honesty, reflecting on life, pressure and pleasure with slow jams, weed and rum, water and vibes, all wrapped in a love letter to sound system culture.
