More than three decades after forming heavens to betsy, Corin Tucker and Tracy Sawyer return with something that still hits where it matters. Their reunion feels timely, drawing a direct line from riot grrrl’s fight for inclusivity, bodily autonomy, and gender equality to the pressures facing marginalized communities now.

Founded in Olympia alongside peers in Bikini Kill, Team Dresch, and Bratmobile, heavens to betsy reconnect with the same DIY spirit that made them essential. baby’s gone is their first release since 1994 and brings that history into sharp focus.

The 16-track set features a previously unheard demo tape recorded by Bratmobile’s Molly Neuman, who also contributes liner notes, alongside the 1993 These Monsters Are Real and the 1994 Direction 7” recordings. Corin Tucker also plays in Sleater-Kinney; Tracy Sawyer has played with The Husbands, The Flying Tigers, and The Lies.
