Beneath Painted Skies: Music from the Studio Ghibli Movies

Silva Screen Records presents Beneath Painted Skies: Music from the Studio Ghibli Movies, a new album from London Music Works and Nick Squires. It’s a symphonic take on music tied to some of Studio Ghibli’s most cherished films, handled with real care and cinematic sweep.

From Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Castle in the Sky to Only Yesterday, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle, this set moves through tender melodies, soaring themes and quieter, reflective moments with warmth and clarity.

It also reaches across more than four decades of animated cinema, with music from My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Grave of the Fireflies, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, The Wind Rises, When Marnie Was There, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Up on Poppy Hill and The Boy and the Heron.
