Black Shining Leather

Carpathian Forest's debut full-length album of sordid Norwegian black metal is presented on heavyweight 180gm vinyl. Carpathian Forest, from Norway, formed in 1990. They began their recording career with the cult demo Bloodlust & Perversion in 1992.

Since then, the band has recorded several albums and has also become a class, if unpredictable, live act. They are one of the earlier purveyors of the Scandinavian black metal scene and have always embraced their old school roots. The band is also well known for their lyrical content, a blend of Satanism and sadism.

Black Shining Leather was the band's debut full-length album from 1998 after the Through Chasm, Caves & Titan Woods EP brought them storming onto the scene in 1995. Since then, Carpathian Forest has risen to true cult status with each subsequent album.

Black Shining Leather includes a unique rendition of "A Forest" by THE CURE, and this album features drum work by Lazare of Solefald. This edition of Black Shining Leather is presented on black 180gm heavyweight vinyl.
