On Blood That I Spill Turns To Fire, Firebreather push their sound forward without losing the grit. The goal was simple: keep it raw, heavy and groovy, while opening the door to a little more melody in the vocals.
The album was recorded with Joona at Studio Underjord, with the brief set from the start to keep everything dirty and unpolished. For the sessions, Tommy Hanning stepped in on drums, having also played with Firebreather around the time of their first album.
With the band between drummers, Tommy Hanning learned the songs from his home in northern Sweden, flew down for one weekend of rehearsals, and then went straight into the studio. The result is a record the band sees as raw, heavy and moving, and one they hope connects just as deeply with others.
