Bodyscanner

With her debut album *BODYSCANNER*, UCHE YARA charts the next stage in the evolution of club music: ‘post-club’ as a physical, emotional and political experience. Electronic textures, hypnotic loops and multi-layered vocals break down familiar structures and forge a unique musical future that bridges R&B, rock and experimental pop.

Written, produced and recorded entirely by UCHE YARA, the album explores identity, self-perception and the question of how we can reclaim our bodies in a world that constantly evaluates, controls and optimises them. The result is music that dares to take risks and sounds as combative as it is vulnerable.

Shaped by queer and BiPoC communities, BODYSCANNER reimagines the club as a space for empowerment and belonging. Songs such as “DIVA CLUB”, “hello hello” and “be something” deal with collective strength, societal desensitisation and the courage to be loud and completely oneself. As a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, producer and exceptionally versatile singer, UCHE YARA brings all these perspectives together in an uncompromising vision. BODYSCANNER is not just a debut album, but the manifestation of an artist who takes complete control of her sound, her body and her story.
