Catacroma

Riviera Gaz bring together Gustavo Riviera of Forgotten Boys, Paulo Kishimoto of Pitty and Forgotten Boys, and Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth for a second album that feels loose, curious and fully locked into its own wavelength.

Catacroma pushes their psychedelic sound further, folding fuzzy riffs, glam rock spark, fearless studio experimentation and Can-inspired grooves into something restless and alive. It sidesteps sterile digital shortcuts, leaning instead on extensive editing and mixing to let each track stretch out and mutate.

The result is a fun house of shifting shapes, where strong songs split apart, reconnect and keep moving. Nothing lands where you expect, and that’s the pull of it: every turn opens onto somewhere stranger, sharper and more rewarding.
