CIANI/ORKEST

Suzanne Ciani joins Metropole Orkest, conducted by Simon Dobson, for CIANI/ORKEST: a historic live album of entirely new work, recorded at Amsterdam Dance Event. This is no retrospective, but a fresh meeting of Ciani’s Buchla electronic instrument and the orchestra’s 50-piece sound.

Long committed to quadraphonic sound, Ciani works here with immersive producer KamranV on a release shaped around space, touch, and live interplay. Strings, brass, and woodwinds echo the fluid qualities of her electronic language, captured in a performance charged with real-time connection.

Released by Atmospheric/AKP Recordings/CyKiK, CIANI/ORKEST arrives in multiple immersive formats, including double-disc quadraphonic 12” vinyl designed by Grammy-nominated Rebeka Arce. It uses dublab’s QUARK encoding for binaural and 4-speaker playback, with Dolby Atmos, Sony 360RA, Eclipsa Audio, download, streaming, radio, and vinyl editions available.
