Don’t Get Me Started

Andy Strickland, best known as chief guitar slinger for Creation Records legends The Loft, launches his solo project with the debut single, ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ – a classic pop paean to pent-up frustration and disappointment, wrapped in a chiming guitar riff.

Strickland’s wry take on the delicate balancing act of modern relationships is backed by the altogether more jaunty ‘Have-A-Go Henry’, and both tracks feature Alan Gregg on bass, Rob Parry on drums and producer Sean Read on keyboards and brass. Strickland is on vocal and guitar duties.

“I finally decided to get some of my songs out there and to sing them myself,” says Strickland. “Co-writing half of the last Loft album gave me the confidence to book the studio and I’m thrilled that people liked it enough to make this release happen.”
