Draw The Outline

Draw The Outline is the third album from Sorcha Richardson, and the first she has made since leaving Dublin for West Kerry.

Written at the foot of a mountain, a short walk from the sea, it sets aside the synths of her earlier records for the warmer textures of woodwinds, saxophone, Hammond organ and piano, with acoustic guitar holding everything in place. These are quiet, unhurried songs about intimacy and perception, about how two people can share the same moment and remember it differently, lit throughout by a dry humour that keeps them honest. Led by the single "Illinois Again," it is an album that doesn't rush to explain itself, and is all the more rewarding for it.
