Roberto Musci returns with Dusty Colors, an extraordinary new album by one of the leading figures of Italian minimalism. Staying true to his unique approach to electroacoustic composition—which was already revolutionary in the legendary The Loa of Music (1984)—Musci weaves together field recordings, samples, and instrumental elements, drawing primarily on sounds and recordings collected during his travels in India over the past two years. The result is an immersive and deeply sensitive work—an exciting new chapter in a career that defies convention.
