Co-produced by Greg Ladanyi and the band members, the album blends art rock with traditional Latin American folklore and indigenous rhythms. Internal tensions deeply marked the recording sessions at O'Henry Sound Studios. By 1993, bassist Sabo Romo and keyboardist Diego Herrera had departed, leaving a core trio of frontman Saúl Hernández, drummer Alfonso André, and lead guitarist Alejandro Marcovich. Creative friction between Hernández and Marcovich grew so severe that they required separate studio scheduling to avoid each other. Despite these fractures, the record stands as a major achievement in Latin alternative music.
