Split Enz present Enzyclopedia, a new series exploring the enduring musical legacy of one of New Zealand's most influential and innovative groups.

The first LP features Mental Notes (1975), the bold and theatrical debut album, newly remastered from transfers of the original master tapes. The second LP showcases Eddie Rayner’s new stereo mixes of Second Thoughts (1976), the band’s UK-recorded follow up which set the stage for their international breakthrough. Rounding out the set, is ‘The Beginning Of The Enz’, which includes additional new stereo mixes from Eddie Rayner on side A, with remastered versions of the early Enz singles on side B, in an exclusive new sleeve designed by Noel Crombie.
The audio has been newly remastered by Phil Kinrade, with lacquers cut by Harry Rudkins at AIR Studios. Pressed on three 140g vinyl, housed in heavy-stock inner sleeves within a rigid slipcase, accompanied by an obi-strip, and a 40-page booklet with a wealth of previously unpublished photographs, rare memorabilia, and commentary by Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Wally Wilkinson, Mike Chunn, and Phil Manzanera.

Enzyclopedia Volumes One and Two marks 50 years since the release of the band's debut album Mental Notes with a deluxe 5-CD boxset compiled in collaboration with the band.
Disc one features Mental Notes (1975), the band's bold and theatrical debut album, newly remastered from transfers of the original master tapes. Disc two presents Eddie Rayner's dynamic new stereo mixes of Second Thoughts (1976), the UK-recorded follow up which set the stage for their international breakthrough. The third disc includes a remastered version of the album's original stereo mix.
Disc four features The Beginning Of The Enz, a collection of the band's formative singles. The set concludes with Wide Angle Enz on disc five - a trove of previously unreleased and rare material, including newly remixed live recordings from the band's 1975 Ormond Hall show, and rough mixes from the making of Second Thoughts recently uncovered in the Chrysalis archives.
