Ernie Graham

Ernie Graham, a Belfast born musician, first gained recognition in the band Eire Apparent, whose only album was produced by Jimi Hendrix. After the band disbanded, he signed with the Down Home management stable, which also represented bands like Help Yourself and Brinsley Schwarz. This led to Graham signing with Liberty Records as a solo artist.

Ernie Graham's 1971 self-titled album featured backing from Help Yourself and Brinsley Schwarz on a selection of songs that were later described as "one of the most hauntingly beautiful" albums of the period. Despite critical acclaim, the album did not achieve commercial success.

Graham later joined Help Yourself for the recording of their album Strange Affair before leaving to form the band Clancy in 1973. Over time, Ernie Graham has come to be recognized as a special album from a talented songwriter. The newly remastered edition of this album has been remastered from the original Liberty tapes and includes a booklet with a new essay.
