Eros Anikate

Iptamenos Discos release a repress of Local Suicide’s critically acclaimed debut album Eros Anikate, originally released on May 13th, 2022 and long sold-out.

Titled after a phrase from Sophocles’ Antigone, Eros Anikate translates to ‘love invincible’, a fitting name for an album that celebrates emotional resilience, cultural connection and artistic collaboration.

Rooted in the duo’s signature ‘technodisco’ sound, the album blends retro-futuristic synths, moody basslines and tongue-in-cheek storytelling with a modern, genre-blurring edge. It’s a deeply personal project born during the Pandemic and inspired by their travels and encounters along the way - a sonic love letter to their global network of friends and collaborators.

Guests on the album include Lee Stevens, Curses, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Skelesys, Theus Mago, Hard Ton, Kalipo and Greek new wave icon Lena Platonos.
