Soundtrack to hit Role Playing Game, Esoteric Ebb. Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like TTRPG-turned-CRPG developed by Swedish award-winning writer Christoffer Bodegård. Its soundtrack is composed and produced by three of Denmark's most boundary-pushing artists, Anders Bach, Brian Batz and Kristian Paulsen. While in many ways a love letter to the game music of yore, the music of Esoteric Ebb stands every bit as much in purposeful contrast to everything that's come before it. Soundtracking a high fantasy game, Anders Bach, Brian Batzand Kristian Paulsen have avoided tropes and created a unique, hand-played sonic environment, where acoustic instruments and harmony allude to light, and manipulated sounds and deconstructed rhythms to darkness, mirroring the descent through the levels and narrative of the game. The album has a lofty design executed in such a natural and smooth way, you can't help but ride with it - deeply serious and very fun. It's considered, but everything sounds and feels so good! Food for the mind, food for the soul.
