Flood My Eyes

The new ACUA album Flood My Eyes will be released on the Cologne-based label Papercup Records and opens with its eponymous title track, greeting listeners with gritty, growling synthesizers.

Between 2022 and 2026, the band played more than 50 shows across Canada, Japan, and the UK, while expanding its lineup to include keyboardist and vocalist Maja. The experiences of those years have shaped the album's sound: alongside the psychedelic pop of the band's first two records, Flood My Eyes embraces Latin American rhythms, three-part vocal harmonies, and bold pop influences.
Flood My Eyes is also ACUA's most collaborative album to date. Drummer Caro takes the lead vocals for the first time on "Fearing And Facing The World," while bassist Igor and Maja both contribute original compositions and vocal performances.
The album also features the band's most high-profile collaboration so far: "All Sides Of Me," featuring jennylee and TT of Warpaint. Bringing together the experiences of the past few years, Flood My Eyes is a multifaceted album that embraces new influences while confidently continuing ACUA's musical evolution.
