Flying Karpet

Obscure 1968 Mexican psychedelic gem, packed with raw, lo-fi versions of tracks by Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, The Monkees, The Byrds, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Brenton Wood and more. Recorded with a rough, spontaneous feel, the album captures the hazy atmosphere of a late-night recording session — smoky, unpolished and full of psychedelic energy. This is the only album recorded by the band and was released on the cult Mexican label Son-Art that also published very much sought-after records by the likes of Los Monstruos, Los Temerarios and Los Fugitivos. A notoriously elusive original, now almost impossible to find, this Latin American psych rarity is given a new life in this reissue.
