F~M is a joint project between veteran IDM producers Roel Funken (Funckarma, Cane, Shadow Huntaz) and Jeroen Bax (Exm). Individually, Roel and Jeroen have been releasing their own material and remixes since the late 90s on a dizzyingly wide set of labels including Móatún 7, Touched, Arcola, neo Ouija, n5MD, Shipwrex, Skam, !K7, Merck to name just a few.

Being based in two entirely different locations, Roel and Jeroen have developed asynchronous collaboration methods based on transforming each others' entire tracks. For their third album together and their first on Surgeon and Dan Bean's Old Technology Records they've taken their back and forth method a step further. Starting with brief gestures and ending up with the four epic tracks that make this album. Each track lasts around 15 minutes or longer and maintains a coherent identity while continually transforming, flipping and evolving into new modes.
