La Balsa was the first massive Argentine rock hit, and in 1967 Los Gatos became the country’s best-known local rock band with Litto Nebbia out front as composer and singer. That milestone can overshadow the rest of his catalogue, but his solo work shows just how freely and brilliantly he created.

Fuera del cielo from 1975 is an art rock and space jazz standout, touched with prog and full of deep, delicate beauty. Acoustic piano, organ, harpsichord, basslines, bandoneon and Nebbia’s voice come together in a unique blend. It sits alongside Bazar de los milagros and 1976’s Cosas que no quieren morir as a high point.

Now in its first vinyl reissue with remastered sound, this sought-after album reflects Nebbia’s lasting reach beyond the Southern Hemisphere and its place in the rediscovery of little-explored global sounds.
