Goatshead II

Mike Vest’s Brain Pills returns with a fierce blast of primitive rock action on Goatshead II. It hits with the same pummelling force as his other projects, but with an even sharper, more urgent rush of riffs, fuzz and clamour.

Following the well-received Goatshead LP, this second instalment keeps the same line-up: Mike Vest, known for Bong, Drunk in Hell, 11 Paranoias, Blown Out and Mienakunaru, alongside Adam Stone of Poundland on vocals and Nick Raybould of Thought Bubble on drums and artwork.

The result is heavy and direct: deadly drums, pulverising riffs, heaps of distortion, and Adam Stone’s haunting vocal style, all framed by Nick Raybould’s unsettling artwork. Though Goatshead could have been a double LP, Mike Vest chose two standalone 12"s. Mastered for vinyl by Bri Doom of Creepy Crawl, known for work with Sore Throat, Doom, Lazarus Blackstar and Disciple BC.
