Golden Days

Saccades, the solo project of Nicholas Wood of The KVB, returns with Golden Days, released on 2nd October 2026.

Shaped by global sounds and crate-dug gems, it pulls from obscure psych and rare soul of the ’60s and ’70s, alongside touchstones like Air, Khruangbin, Darkside and Jack J.

There’s a strong hauntological thread here: atmospheric effects, hypnotic loops and woozy production that also nod back to Wood’s early solo project Die Jungen. The result feels hazy, romantic and introspective, like a half-forgotten dream.

The most laid-back Saccades record yet, Golden Days puts deep bass grooves and shimmering acoustic guitars front and centre. It follows Saccades (2017), Flowing Fades (2021), Land of the Hearth (2023), and 2025 singles Sightseer and Greek Fire.
