Greenland

Formed in 1990 by David Lowery and Johnny Hickman, Cracker still sound sharp, loose and unmistakably themselves on Greenland. This lineup features some of the band’s longest-standing players: Frank Funaro on drums, Kenny Margolis on keyboards and Victor Krummenacher on bass.

A genuinely international set, Greenland moves from Californian rock & roll to space-age, reverb-soaked, Moroccan-inspired riffs without losing its centre. This edition also adds the previously unreleased I Know Your Sister, She’s Big in Japan, written by Lowery and Hickman during the original album sessions.

Cracker continue touring the US and Europe through 2026, following 2024’s Alternative History: A Cracker Retrospective. Expect the classic alt-country-rock’n’roll guitar interplay and the offbeat lyricism that helped give both Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven their cult status.
