Title

Elvis Presley's His Hand in Mine is the fifth studio album from the American singer and musician, released on RCA Victor Records in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 2328, on November 23, 1960.

It was the first of three gospel albums that Presley released during his lifetime, and it remains a key part of his catalogue. Recording sessions took place on October 30 and 31, 1960, at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee.

Remarkably, all of the selections for His Hand in Mine were completed in one fourteen-hour session. During that same session, Surrender and Crying in the Chapel were also recorded, though both were held back for release as singles.

Surrender became Elvis Presley's first single of 1961 and went to the top of the chart. Crying in the Chapel was not issued until April 1965, when it reached number 3 on the chart.

The song In My Father's House was arranged and adapted by Elvis Presley and published by Elvis Presley Music.
