Regina Collage’s Horizont is a raw, intimate album shaped between bedroom recordings and borrowed Bristol studios. Sung entirely in Ukrainian, it moves through lo-fi songwriting, sparse post-punk textures and exposed arrangements built around bass, guitar fragments and voice, leaving rough edges and imperfections fully in place.
The songs hold burnout, quiet shame, tenderness and emotional openness without flinching. Horizont takes its title from the Ukrainian word for “horizon”, reflecting distance and uncertainty, while Vpiznavaty and Weak trace exhaustion, withdrawal and the strength inside softness with striking honesty.
Living between Ukraine and the UK runs through the record too, with Regina Collage speaking clearly about Kharkiv, where her parents remain under constant attack, and the wider Ukrainian underground. Recent collaborators include Valentina Magaletti, Ben Vince and Susumu “Zongamin” Mukai. Released by Bristol label Do You Have Peace?, run by Amos Childs.
