megiapa's debut Intentions is a 40-minute masterclass in synth-heavy, jazz-informed neo-soul. The LA-via-Chicago beat maker, composer and multi-instrumentalist crafts something lush, soulful and deeply felt.

More than a set of songs, Intentions plays like a living archive of transformation. Warm synths, fluttering basslines, meditative voice notes and spiritual grooves trace heartbreak, healing, fear and surrender with real tenderness.

The title says it plainly. "The record is literally my intentions," megiapa says. "It's a representation of my intentions, my dreams over the last five years or so."

Those years held the pandemic, the end of a long-term relationship, a move from Chicago and the disorientation of losing life's structure. Still, Intentions never sounds defeated, it moves with the quiet confidence of someone learning to trust herself in real time.
