Jimmy McCracklin Sings (1962) is the first album by Jimmy McCracklin, one of the originators of West Coast Blues in post-World War II America.
By the time this record arrived, McCracklin had already spent more than 10 years selling records in the Black community through a run of small labels. In 1957, his single The Walk broke through and climbed both the Billboard R&B and Pop charts.
This is an essential early statement from a hugely influential artist, and a reminder of just how deep Jimmy McCracklin's roots run in the story of American blues and rhythm & blues.
