La Source

David Norland, the Emmy-nominated English composer behind acclaimed drama and documentary scores, returns with La Source, due in June 2026 via Denovali Records. Following his praised 2019 solo debut Glam Tear Stain, this new record finds him back in London, reflecting on parenthood, recovery, and the world we leave behind.

Shaped by recent choral commissions, La Source reconnects Norland with the innocent roots of his musical life. From the haunting choral beauty of E-Car Soul to the breezy title track, he blends minimalist classical structures with electronics into a unified, melancholic, deeply emotional whole.

His previous work includes scores for Anvil! The Story Of Anvil (2008), November Criminals (2017), and the Emmy-nominated HBO film My Dinner With Herve (2018), plus music supervision for Hitchcock (2012).
