L.A.B’s groove blends an eclectic, catchy and laidback mix of reggae, pop, rock, soul and funk with electronic influences, all combining to create a sound entirely their own.

L.A.B, featuring former members of the bands Kora and Katchafire, have become a mainstay in the New Zealand music scene, with their five albums all receiving at least a one-time Platinum status, dominating the national single and album charts, radio playlists, award shows and sales stats on DSP platforms.

 Now L.A.B return with their new album, aptly titled VI, the latest addition to their catalogue. After recording and releasing their first five albums in a five-year span, the five musicians have recorded the new songs with frequent collaborator Lee Prebble at Wellington’s Surgery Studios after an almost 18-month period of writing, tweaking and finessing their strongest album to date.

The 11 new songs incorporate all aspects of the band’s unique sound; the album combines (roots) reggae with soul, funk, rock and pop.
