Latencia is an album by Microhm (MX) and Imaabs (CL), shaped by the archive of Mexico’s National Sound Archive, Fonoteca Nacional, alongside recordings of traditional musicians and contemporary electronic production processes.
The record explores the sonic memory of Mexico and Latin America through a speculative fiction lens, where tradition, archival material, and technology meet and shift into liminal landscapes, suspended atmospheres, and diffuse rhythms.
